Acceptance of the Terms

By using our services, you accept these Terms of Service and all related policies.

Use of the app

The Fairway Friends app is designed to help you manage and track your golf matches. You are responsible for using the app in compliance with these terms.

• You may not use the app for illegal purposes.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information during registration and app use.

Account and registration

Some features may require creating an account or signing in through external providers such as Apple or Google. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide, the confidentiality of your credentials, and all activity under your account, except unauthorized use not attributable to you.

• You must not create fake accounts, impersonate other users, or use third-party data without authorization.
• You must keep essential profile information up to date, including email, nickname, handicap, and preferences relevant to the features you use.
• If you sign in with Apple or Google, the terms of the relevant provider also apply.

Match sharing

Fairway Friends allows you to share a match with other users, selected friends, or, where the feature provides it, publicly.

• You may share only matches for which you are entitled to use the sharing features offered by the app.
• Participant name visibility is subject to global and match-specific privacy preferences set by individual users.
• If a participant chooses not to show their name, Fairway Friends may replace it with an anonymous alias or neutral wording.
• You must not bypass privacy preferences, publish third-party data without a valid basis, or use match sharing to extract or reuse personal data in a way that conflicts with the law, these terms, or the reasonable expectations of other users.

Friends, messages, and invites

Social features must be used respectfully and consistently with the purpose of the app. Spam, harassment, threats, unlawful content, offensive messages, mass requests or invites, notification abuse, or attempts to contact users who have expressed contrary preferences are not allowed.

User content and data

You remain responsible for the data you enter in the app, including match name, flight data, teams, scores, messages, scorecard images, course data, and other content you choose to save or share. You must ensure that this content is lawful, accurate, relevant, and does not infringe third-party rights.

Golf courses and moderation

When you create, edit, or propose golf course data, you declare that you provide information that is reasonably accurate. Fairway Friends may review, approve, reject, correct, or remove such data to protect database quality, prevent abuse, and maintain useful information for users.

AI and Caddie features

AI Caddie, pre-round coach, hole advice, post-round analysis, and feedback features are informational and support tools. They may use match, course, score, history, goal, and configured AI profile data, but may produce incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable results for the real situation.

AI responses do not replace the user's judgment, a golf coach, a referee, the official Rules of Golf, or professional assessments. You are responsible for checking suggestions before applying them on the course.

Scorecard import

The scorecard import feature may automatically analyze images or data submitted by the user to extract information about holes, par, tees, or other details. Automatic recognition may contain errors: you must verify, correct, and confirm the results before saving or submitting them.

GPS, AR, and measurements

GPS, AR, drive distance, and distance-to-pin features provide technical estimates subject to device accuracy, signal quality, sensors, course conditions, light, obstacles, and availability of location services. We do not guarantee measurement accuracy, and you must not use them as your only reference for safety, competition, or official rules decisions.

Subscriptions and in-app purchases

Fairway Friends may offer Free, Plus, and Pro plans or other premium features through in-app purchases. Prices, duration, renewal, free trial, cancellation, refunds, and payment methods are shown and managed by the Apple or Google store and their terms, including through technical services such as RevenueCat for entitlement verification.

• Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled according to the rules of the store used for the purchase.
• You may use the restore purchases feature when available to recover entitlements associated with your account or store.
• Premium feature availability may vary by platform, country, app version, technical requirements, or service maintenance.

Intellectual property

All app content, design, and functionality are the exclusive property of Fairway Friends. No part may be copied, modified, or distributed without our written consent.

Limitation of liability

Fairway Friends is not responsible for damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app, including backend unavailability, data errors, failure to access services, inaccurate AI results, scorecard analysis errors, inaccurate GPS or AR measurements, user-entered content, or misuse of social and sharing features. To the extent permitted by law, it is also not liable for misuse of the sharing feature by users, while remaining committed to providing reasonable privacy controls and configuration tools.

Suspension and termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms of Service or for other reasons at our discretion.

Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be published on this page, and continued use of the app implies acceptance of the changes.
