Acceptance of the Terms

By using Fairway Friends, you accept these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and any additional terms shown in the app or by the Apple and Google stores. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Use of the app

Fairway Friends helps you manage and track golf matches, view playing data, organize games with other users, and, where included in your plan, use AI Caddie, analytics, scorecard import, messaging, and premium tools. You are responsible for using the app in compliance with these terms and applicable law.

• You may not use the app for illegal purposes.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information during registration and app use.
• You must not interfere with the app, attempt unauthorized access, bypass technical limits, or abuse APIs, notifications, messages, invites, or sharing features.

Nature of the service

Fairway Friends is a digital tool supporting golf-game management. It is not professional coaching, certified measurement, official competition management, course-safety advice, or personalized professional advice. Statistics, suggestions, distances, analyses, and automatically generated results are indicative and must be checked by the user.

The app does not replace personal judgment, the official Rules of Golf, or guidance from clubs, organizers, referees, professionals, or competent authorities.

Account and registration

Some features may require an email account or Sign in with Apple; anonymous access may also be available. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide, the confidentiality of your credentials, and activity under your account, except unauthorized use not attributable to you.

• You must not create fake accounts, impersonate other users, or use third-party data without authorization.
• You must keep essential profile information up to date, including email, nickname, handicap, and preferences relevant to the features you use.
• If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple's applicable terms also apply.

Match sharing

Fairway Friends allows you to share a match with other users, selected friends, or, where the feature provides it, publicly.

• You may share only matches for which you are entitled to use the sharing features offered by the app.
• Participant name visibility is subject to global and match-specific privacy preferences set by individual users.
• If a participant chooses not to show their name, Fairway Friends may replace it with an anonymous alias or neutral wording.
• You must not bypass privacy preferences, publish third-party data without a valid basis, or use match sharing to extract or reuse personal data in a way that conflicts with the law, these terms, or the reasonable expectations of other users.

Friends, messages, and invites

Social features must be used respectfully and consistently with the purpose of the app. Spam, harassment, threats, unlawful content, offensive messages, mass requests or invites, notification abuse, or attempts to contact users who have expressed contrary preferences are not allowed.

User content and data

You remain responsible for the data you enter in the app, including match name, flight data, teams, scores, messages, scorecard images, course data, and other content you choose to save or share. You must ensure that this content is lawful, accurate, relevant, and does not infringe third-party rights.

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, synchronize, process, display, and share that content only as needed to provide requested features, protect the service, and comply with applicable obligations.

If you enter data about other participants, you confirm that you are entitled to do so or that the entry is reasonably expected in the context of managing a shared match. You remain responsible for disputes arising from data, images, messages, or content you upload or share.

Golf courses and moderation

When you create, edit, or propose golf course data, you declare that you provide information that is reasonably accurate. Fairway Friends may review, approve, reject, correct, or remove such data to protect database quality, prevent abuse, and maintain useful information for users.

AI and Caddie features

AI Caddie, pre-round coach, hole advice, post-round analysis, and feedback features are informational and support tools. They may use match, course, score, history, goal, and configured AI profile data, but may produce incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable results for the real situation.

AI responses do not replace the user's judgment, a golf coach, a referee, the official Rules of Golf, or professional assessments. You are responsible for checking suggestions before applying them on the course.

Scorecard import

The scorecard import feature may automatically analyze images or data submitted by the user to extract information about holes, par, tees, or other details. Automatic recognition may contain errors: you must verify, correct, and confirm the results before saving or submitting them.

GPS, AR, and measurements

GPS, AR, drive distance, and distance-to-pin features provide technical estimates subject to device accuracy, signal quality, sensors, course conditions, light, obstacles, and availability of location services. We do not guarantee measurement accuracy, and you must not use them as your only reference for safety, competition, or official rules decisions.

Subscriptions and in-app purchases

Fairway Friends offers a Free plan and may offer an auto-renewing PRO subscription or other premium features through in-app purchases. The title, duration, price, billing frequency, renewal terms, trials, and introductory offers are shown in the app's purchase flow and managed by the Apple or Google store used for the purchase.

• PRO subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled according to the rules shown by the store used for the purchase.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not necessarily refund the current paid period.
• Refunds, revocations, disputes, trial periods, and price changes are handled by the relevant store under its rules and applicable law.
• You may use the restore purchases feature when available to recover entitlements associated with your account or store.
• RevenueCat may be used as a technical service to verify purchases, renewals, entitlements, cancellations, and restores.
• Premium feature availability may vary by platform, country, app version, technical requirements, or service maintenance.

Availability, backups, and service changes

Fairway Friends depends on third-party services, connectivity, stores, backend systems, databases, AI services, authentication, notifications, and cloud infrastructure. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent compatibility with every device, or indefinite data retention.

We may modify, suspend, replace, or remove features for maintenance, security, technical reasons, product development, store requirements, legal obligations, or service sustainability. Keep your own copy of important data where export tools are available.

Intellectual property

Trademarks, logos, design, interfaces, code, structure, text, features, and proprietary app content belong to GuidiSoft di Marco Guidi or their respective rights holders. They may not be copied, modified, distributed, decompiled, sold, sublicensed, or exploited except where permitted by law or authorized in writing.

User responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims, losses, or costs arising from unlawful or improper app use, breach of these Terms, content you submit or share, infringement of third-party rights, unauthorized use of social features, or use of unverified AI, GPS, AR, or scorecard results. This does not limit mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Limitation of liability

Fairway Friends is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, GuidiSoft di Marco Guidi is not liable for indirect loss, data loss, lost opportunities or profits, service interruptions, backend unavailability, data errors, inaccurate AI or scorecard results, inaccurate GPS or AR measurements, user content, or misuse of social and sharing features.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, personal injury, or other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Force majeure and third-party services

We are not responsible for delays or unavailability caused by events outside our reasonable control, including network failures, Apple or Google stores, RevenueCat, cloud or AI providers, authentication and location services, operating-system updates, cyberattacks, authority measures, or power outages.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if you breach these Terms, use the service unlawfully or abusively, compromise security or data quality, or where required for maintenance, security, legal obligations, or service closure. Where reasonable, we may notify you and allow the issue to be resolved.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory rules applicable in the consumer's country of residence. Disputes are subject to the courts competent under applicable law, including consumer-protection rules.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Changes will be published on this page and material changes may also be communicated in the app or through other reasonable channels. Continued use after publication indicates acceptance, without prejudice to mandatory rights.
